Data deletion
UniqueMe is operated by Bonbonica LLC. You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time. This page explains what we store, how to request deletion, and what happens after you ask.
What UniqueMe stores about you
We store the minimum needed to run the service. When you use UniqueMe, we hold the following categories of data:
- Your account. Name, email address, hashed password, email-verification status, avatar image if provided, and active login sessions.
- Your business profile. Business name, website URL, an AI-generated analysis of your website (summary, tone, target audience, suggested topics), business type, brand description, tone, chosen social platforms, and posting-day preferences.
- Your generated content. Weekly post batches you have created, the post text and hashtags we generated, image prompts and the images themselves, per-platform variations of the text, and your feedback on posts.
- Your image library. Images you have retained or uploaded, including the image files hosted on Vercel Blob.
- Your subscription. Plan tier, trial dates, billing period anchor, and usage counters. (We do not yet store payment card details ourselves; billing will be handled by a third-party processor when live.)
- Your connected social accounts (when applicable). Access tokens for Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn — stored encrypted. Sign-in tokens for Google, if you signed in with Google.
- Publishing history. Records of posts we published on your behalf, retry attempts, and results.
- Operational logs. Audit records of publishing attempts — retained without your account identifier after account deletion, for platform compliance.
How to request deletion
Email us at info@uniqueme.app from the email address on your UniqueMe account. Include the phrase “delete my account” in the subject or body. We do not require a specific format.
If you no longer have access to that email address, contact us from any address and tell us the account email. We may ask a follow-up question to confirm the account is yours.
What we do after you ask
Within 30 days of your request, we will:
- Delete every record above from our production database, including your business profile, generated content, image library, subscription, and connected-account tokens.
- Delete every image file we store for you from Vercel Blob.
- Revoke your Google sign-in, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Google Business Profile tokens where the platform provides a revocation endpoint. Any content already published to those platforms remains under your control on those platforms — you can delete it from within Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or Google Business Profile directly.
- Send you an email confirmation when the deletion is complete.
Backup retention. Encrypted database backups may retain deleted data for up to 90 days after the request before they are purged on their normal rotation. Backups are not used for any operational purpose; they exist solely for disaster recovery. No one at UniqueMe restores individual user data from backups.
Operational-log retention. Anonymized publishing-attempt logs (with your account identifier removed) may be retained beyond the 30-day window for platform compliance and abuse investigation.
Removing UniqueMe from your social accounts
You can also revoke UniqueMe’s access from within each platform, independently of asking us to delete your data:
- Facebook / Instagram: Settings → Business Integrations → UniqueMe → Remove.
- LinkedIn: Settings → Data Privacy → Permitted Services → UniqueMe → Remove.
- Google (sign-in + Business Profile): myaccount.google.com → Security → Third-party apps → UniqueMe → Remove access.
Revoking on a platform does not delete your UniqueMe account. To fully delete, please still email info@uniqueme.app.
